Predict Earth’s future looks is a bit like forecasting the weather: the longer the forecast, the predictions are less accurate.

According to this logic, it seems unlikely to predict everything go after five years, even manage to predict that there is no accuracy to speak of.

However, we can draw on the history over 40 million years old. When we use geology ruler to study the history of the Earth, we will find the Earth is always experiencing some inevitable process like evolution, extinction, plate movement and climate change, which is existing currently too in the planet we live on. These will never disappear on the Earth which can be predicted in the future.

About five years later, New York, may become a city of ice. Earth’s orbit is slightly deformed and tilt of the Earth will cause tremendous change. Over 97,000-year cycle, the Earth’s orbit from nearly circular will turn into a certain degree of oval-shaped. At the same time, the Earth’s axis tilt angle will change from 22.1 degrees to 24.5 degrees maximum.

These combined effects of movements will determine the amount of solar energy delivered to Earth more and less. When the earth reaches a spatial location, it will enter the Ice Age, and then the ice on Earth will thicken and cover a large area of land.

Historically, each Ice Age will continue for about 10 years, there will be about 10,000 years of warm interglacial period between the two glaciers century.

Presently the planet is experiencing an interglacial, but it will eventually enter another ice and snow of the Ice Age. Many scientists believe that the next ice age will reach peak after about 80,000 years. So, fifty thousand years later, the Earth may become colder, and the ice sheets will slowly cover many cities.
