Vitamin D In Food Reduces Death: Study
In one of the latest studies it is learned adding vitamin D in food would reduce deaths. It would prevent millions of cold and flu cases.
The researchers reviewed data from 25 previous studies and explored the benefits of vitamin D in preventing acute respiratory tract infections.
Over 10,000 people were involved in the new study. Respiratory tract infections include colds, flu, bronchitis and pneumonia.
Researchers suggest vitamin D supplements should be given daily or weekly to prevent such respiratory tract infections. It is also suggested those who are at higher risk of vitamin D deficiency need to take the supplement all year round.
The study was conducted by researchers of Queen Mary University, Karolinska Institute in Sweden and Winthrop University Hospital in the US. It was funded by National Institute for Health Research.
However, the study didn’t allow manufacturers of vitamin D supplements to take part and it even didn’t try to detect the effects of vitamin D supplement.
Details of the study are published in the British Medical Journal and widely covered by the UK media too.http://www.dailynewsz.com/vitamin-d-in-food-reduces-death-study/http://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Vitamin-D-In-Food-Reduces-Death-Study.jpghttp://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Vitamin-D-In-Food-Reduces-Death-Study-300x250.jpgHealthstudy,vitamin d
