Twitter Rolls Out Filters To Mute Unwanted Notifications
Twitter has lately come up with couple of new filtering tools to help better its users from being abused any further.
With the help of the filtering option users can disable notifications coming from those accounts who are not following. Similarly, the notification can also blocked from new account, if wished separately.
However, the social networking giant didn’t mention in its announcement what qualifies as “new.”
Users are guided to tap on the bell icon below the bottom on Twitter app and thereafter tap on the gear icon located at the upper right corner. Here one needs to toggle on the notifications as wished from the “advanced filters” option.
It is to note that all the newly added filters are optional and those won’t affect notifications coming from those users whom one is following.
Earlier this year in March too Twitter rolled out muting of notifications from those whom the user is not following along with even from those who email and phone numbers were not verified.
Twitter VP of Engineering Ed Ho wrote then, “Many people requested more filter options for their notifications, and we’re excited to bring these to everyone on Twitter.”
Meanwhile, Twitter also mutes low-quality content from notifications like those which are duplicate tweets.http://www.dailynewsz.com/twitter-rolls-out-filters-to-mute-unwanted-notifications/http://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Twitter-Rolls-Out-Filters-To-Mute-Unwanted-Notifications.jpghttp://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Twitter-Rolls-Out-Filters-To-Mute-Unwanted-Notifications-300x297.jpgTechnologytwitter
