The president’s official Facebook page reveals Donald Trump will be making a phone call to Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. (6:15 p.m. in Kenyan time).

Details mentioned are scanty but it is learned the call may last to about 30 minutes. The two leaders will be talking about regional security and Somalia’s stability.

Uhuru is the third president in Africa to get phone call from Trump since he took office in January.

Trump earlier had called the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and South African President Jacob Zuma.

With Buhari he discussed about his possible new arms deal to help the country fight against Islamic terror group Boko Haram, which has destabilizing Nigeria since 2009 leading to thousands of deaths and about two million displacement.

For long the Nigerian government has been persuading the US to sell its military aircraft.

Buhari is currently on medical leave and not in his country. Since he came to power in 2015 Nigeria has recaptured much of its territory from Boko Haram.

In a released statement the US presidency writes, “President Trump assured the Nigerian president of US readiness to cut a new deal in helping Nigeria in terms of military weapons to combat terrorism.”

The details revealed are scanty but it is learned Trump has invited Buhari to Washington.
