The trend of fake news should come to an end. Apple CEO has extremely realized it and commented something needs to be done.

Tim Cook urged to all the tech companies in an interview with the Daily Telegraph that some tools need to be created to reduce the volume of fake news.

The Apple boss added, “There has to be a massive campaign. We have to think through every demographic.”

Very recently not-official spokesperson of US President Donald Trump, Kellyannne Conway, shared a new that never happened. She shared “Bowling Green massacre” and said it was orchestrated by two Iraqi refugees after the travel ban executive order of the president.

Cook said such proliferation of fake news is in fact killing the minds of people as in recent poll 23 percent of Americans believed the made-up story justified Trump’s travel ban.

He added the world is in such period of time when some winning people spend time trying to get most clicks and not tell the most truth.

Last month Facebook rolled out filtering tools in Germany that can flag potentially fake stories and to be reviewed by fact-checkers.

Cook said too many of them are in complain category, but it is yet to figure out what to do and the industry has not figured out what to do.
