Life is a balancing act and it is important to find time for yourself. It is suggested to take a break and indulge in meditation.

Meditation improves health and some of the most common benefits are brain development, increased immunity, lower blood pressure and stress reduction.

Experts claim the art of meditation helps in developing steady, calm, ready and open mind. Mindfulness techniques, breathing practices and use of mantras are some of the most popular meditation skills.

However, if you are a beginner below are some basic meditations which you can follow:

– Either sit tall on a cushion on the floor or on a chair and set your hands on your legs. Close your eyes and concentrate.

– Gently more your body left and right continually and try to release all internal tension for some time. Stop the swaying and relax your arms, chest and stomach.

– Take long breaths and thereafter sit quietly. Try to sit like a statue without reacting to the environment.
