Radical Preacher Anjem Choudary Convicted, Jailed Under UK Law For Inviting People To Support ISIS
Radical preacher Anjem Choudary is now put behind bars for five-and-a-half years. He was convicted last month at the Old Balley for inviting support for ISIS group of Syria and Iraq after a caliphate was declared in the summer of 2014. His followers have carried out attacks in the country as well as abroad.
Inviting for such support to any terror group is an offence in the UK law contrary to section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
The confident of the 49-year-old, Mohammed Mizanur Raham, 33, has been too described the same as calculating and dangerous by the court.
The two were sentenced to a notification order too that would last for fifteen years.
The notification order means one must inform the police with details of their address change.
Choudary is from Ilford in east London where as Rahman is from Palmers Green in north London.
According to counter-terrorism chiefs, both the men worked for radicalising young people including the killers of soldier Lee Rigby in 2013.
CPS Head of Counter Terrorism Sue Hemming said, “Both men were fully aware that Daesh is a proscribed terrorist group responsible for brutal activities and that what they themselves were doing was illegal.”
Hemming added people who invite others for the support of terror organisations like the ISIS will be prosecuted and jailed.http://www.dailynewsz.com/radical-preacher-anjem-choudary-convicted-jailed-under-uk-law-for-inviting-people-to-support-isis/http://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Radical-Preacher-Anjem-Choudary-Convicted-Jailed-Under-UK-Law-For-Inviting-People-To-Support-ISIS.jpghttp://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Radical-Preacher-Anjem-Choudary-Convicted-Jailed-Under-UK-Law-For-Inviting-People-To-Support-ISIS-300x300.jpgBreaking newsworld newsAnjem Choudary,ISIS,Radical Preacher
