Netflix Releases Trailer Of GLOW, A Wrestling Comedy Show
Trailer of Netflix’s new show ‘GLOW’ dropped Monday morning revealing it may be along the lines of “Xanadu” meets “Flashdance” meets “Whip It.”
The comedy show will be equipped with big hair, glittery spandex and tons of cocaine, telling the fictional story of aspiring actress Ruth Wilder (Alison Bne) in 1980s Los Angeles.
Ruth has been featured as a struggling actress and auditioning for two-dimensional roles. She takes the call for unconventional women into wrestling and learns how to combat, how to wear lots of spandex and how to body-slam.
GLOW is based on the real-life Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling in which Wilder gets a big break along with twelve other women to show wrestling isn’t made for only the guys.
If believed to executive producer Jenji Kohan, the show will be a perfect balance of comedy and drama. It could be true as her other Netflix projects including “Orange Is The New Black” is filled with acerbic wit.
Created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, the show has almost all-female cast.
GLOW is inspired by a professional women’s wrestling TV series with the same name that ran from 1986 to 1990.
The over two-minute trailer throws light on some good things are coming. It is biting and perfectly timed.
GLOW is scheduled to debut on June 23, Friday. It has a total of 10 episodes and other stars include Marc Maron and Chris Lowell. The series is created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch.http://www.dailynewsz.com/netflix-releases-trailer-of-glow-a-wrestling-comedy-show/http://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Netflix-Releases-Trailer-Of-GLOW-A-Wrestling-Comedy-Show.jpghttp://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Netflix-Releases-Trailer-Of-GLOW-A-Wrestling-Comedy-Show-300x287.jpgEntertainmentglow,netflix
