Largest Ever Dinosaurs Discovered From Newly Found Fossils
A new dinosaur has been unearthed and is learned had been as heavy as a Boeing 737. It weighed over 65 tons and is the biggest ever discovered.
The new study said the largest ever land animal may have been up to the length of seven elephants.
The fossilized bones found in Argentina are from six young adult dinosaurs and are believed to belong to the biggest animal ever had walked the planet.
The fossils include rib bones and vertebrae, and the species are named as Patagotitan mayorum. The animals are thought to measure over 35 meters from nose to tail and weigh 62 tonnes. This mean the length would probably be half the width of a football pitch, which is like somewhere in between the Olympic sized pool and standard swimming pool.
The new discovery finds Patagotitan mayorum were longer than Brachiosaurus and even of today’s blue whales, which reach the maximum length of about 30 meters.
The Patagotitan were plant-eater and stood on four legs. They had a long tail and a long neck too. They lived about 100 million years ago on Earth, during the Cretaceous period.
For years to come the Patagotitan would continue yielding insights into anatomy and biology. They are clearly a very, very large animal, and extremely rare things on Earth.http://www.dailynewsz.com/largest-ever-dinosaurs-discovered-from-newly-found-fossils/http://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Largest-Ever-Dinosaurs-Discovered-From-Newly-Found-Fossils-1024x576.jpghttp://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Largest-Ever-Dinosaurs-Discovered-From-Newly-Found-Fossils-300x300.jpgSciencedinosaur
