Vacation is to enjoy and give your mind a relaxation. It is not to take stress and get your mind unnecessarily tired. Below are some of the tips how you can stay healthy during summer vacation:

Alcohol

It will be better if you can go without alcohol in a week. Feel free to skip if you are not a regular with it. If you have a habit of taking a glass of wine with lunch or dinner, it is suggested to hit something away from wineries like hiking and spa. These will keep you away from tasting-menu restaurants too.

Sunscreen

I feel you don’t need any explanation to this. Have few days of bronzed glow should not fear you of skin cancer or lifetime wrinkles. Use sunscreens which have UVA as well as UVB protection. In the US you should buy a minimum of SPF 30+ protection sunscreen and in Europe regulatory has capped it to maximum at 50+.

Sleep

Everyone knows that a good sleep should always be preferred. Don’t indulge in late nights and early morning tours always. Once or twice such occasions are considerable in a week.

Dessert

Ordering chocolate after dinner every night is not good as it will lead to bloat, tight clothes and lack of energy. Also, study has linked sugar to cancer. So don’t serve yourself with dessert every night.

Spa

Consider your outing as a vacation and not expedition. Book a massage and give personal time to decompress. Several hotels offer complimentary bathing and sauna facilities. If you skip any sight seeing for spa, don’t feel guilty.

Meditate

If there is delay in flight or if you are unable to sleep due to time change, it is suggested to meditate. Just 5 to 15 minutes of meditation is enough to keep you relaxed in vacation.
