Never get your child hooked on sugar. Banish soda and other kind of sugary drinks. Don’t offer your younger one anything that is labeled as added sugar. It is true that you can’t control everything he or she eats, but at least you can give a healthy foundation. So don’t bring junk food at home.

Try to make the food interesting. Cook the food that your kid loves the most. List down some of his or her favorite food and prepare one at a time in a week.

Do take your kid to the vegetable market as he or she will learn about the veggies and also show interest on couple of those. Cook the one on priority that the kid feel to eat more. If you have a small garden or farm area, it will be interesting for you as well as for your kid to grow own veggies, at least 2 or 3 items. This will be far healthy than what you buy from the farmer market.

Always give your kid some choices. Don’t try to over control or over educate. The child will learn naturally what to eat and which food is better.

Try to get creative. Try to make some creative dishes. Put your creativity to chicken wings or Pop-Tarts. Your kid will love to eat.
