How Israel Quenching Thirst Of World Amid Water Crisis In Desert (Part I)
The 20th century saw greatest population boom of all time in the world and the annual growth rate now stands at 1.6 percent. It is estimated the global population to hit 10 billion by 2100 from the current 8 billion.
Amid such statistic it is important to fix the ever-growing water shortage. It is crucial as data reveals one in six people lack access to clean drinking water now and by 2025 about two-thirds of the population to suffer water shortages.
The current data reveals about 1.8 million children die every year due to water-borne illnesses. In near future the number will increase if no fix is found to water crisis.
Amid such a fight for resolving water shortage there is one small country that has achieved it. The State of Israel has solved the water crisis in the country and has also emerged as a net exporter of water too.
In 1948 when Israel gained independence it had a population of 600,000. The country now houses more than 8 million people. About 60 percent of its area features desert land and it is suffering from the worst drought in the Mediterranean in 900 years. Yet, Israel provides clean and drinkable water to its people. The country also exports surplus water to Jordan and Palestine.http://www.dailynewsz.com/how-israel-quenching-thirst-of-world-amid-water-crisis-in-desert-part-i/http://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/How-Israel-Quenching-Thirst-Of-World-Amid-Water-Crisis-In-Desert.jpghttp://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/How-Israel-Quenching-Thirst-Of-World-Amid-Water-Crisis-In-Desert-300x300.jpgHealthworld newsisrael, water, water crisis, water shortage
