British MPs Urged To Review Securities Following Killing Of Jo Cox
After the killing of Jo Cox, British police has urged all the MPs to review their securities as copycat attacks are now being warned by Labour’s Neil Coyle.
The 41-year-old Cox was shot and stabbed to death outside a public library in Bristall on Thursday. She was there for her due surgery, which was advertised on her website.
It is reported police had been due adding up extra security at such events following Cox was harassed with several messages over the past three months.
However, no link has yet been found between the messages and the attack.
A 52-year-old man has been arrested but police says he is just a suspect.
In general the British MPs are provided with several layers of security, but in their constituencies people are allowed to meet on weekly basis. Cox advertised on her official website voters don’t require any appointment to meet her.
BBC writes today’s MPs are more independent compared to the earlier MPs.
In 2010 Labour’s Stephen Timms was stabbed by a constituent, but he survived.
Conservative MP Gavin Barwell said, “We’re keeping the door locked at the moment and admitting people when they have an appointment or if we know them, or are relaxed about who they are.”http://www.dailynewsz.com/british-mps-urged-to-review-securities-following-killing-of-jo-cox/http://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/British-MPs-Urged-To-Review-Securities-Following-Killing-Of-Jo-Cox.jpghttp://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/British-MPs-Urged-To-Review-Securities-Following-Killing-Of-Jo-Cox-300x300.jpgworld newsbritain, british mp,jo cox
