Boko Haram Kills 18 Mourners, Including Women And Children, At Funeral In Nigeria
Boko Haram militants killed eighteen mourners at a funeral in northeast Nigeria, in the Madagali area of Adamawa state near the Sambisa forest, late Thursday night.
It is reported the armed men were on motorbikes. They stormed the village and opened fire on everyone.
The initial report of 18 deaths has been confirmed by police spokesman Othman Abubakar and said the toll may rise. Many inured were also rushed to nearby hospital.
Most of the dead were women and children, said lawmaker Adamu Kamale.
In 2015 the militant group pledged support for the ISIS and in past seven years they have killed about 20,000 people in Nigeria and some neighboring countries. Over 2 million people have been forced to leave their homes and take shelter into neighboring countries.
Very recently more than twenty soldiers were killed by them in southeastern Niger.
Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari had earlier said Boko Haram has been technically defeated, but it is evident the group continues to operate in the country.http://www.dailynewsz.com/boko-haram-kills-18-mourners-including-women-and-children-at-funeral-in-nigeria/http://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Boko-Haram-Kills-18-Mourners-Including-Women-And-Children-At-Funeral-In-Nigeria.jpghttp://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Boko-Haram-Kills-18-Mourners-Including-Women-And-Children-At-Funeral-In-Nigeria-300x300.jpgworld newsboko haram,ISIS,nigeria
