Aspirin Helps Boosting Cancer Treatment: Study
In a new study it is found aspirin medicine can help in more effectiveness in the treatment of cancer.
Aspirin is an anti-inflammatory pain killer medicine and researchers say it has the ability of suppressing a cancer molecule.
According to experts, the new finding is exciting as aspirin is not an expensive medicine and its use could make a great difference in the treatment of cancer.
However, it is also cautioned that further trials are required in this segment before aspirin pill can be prescribed to patients in the treatment of cancer.
In lab tests it is found the cancer cells in breast, skin and bowel cancer generates prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), which are large amounts of a molecule. With the aspirin this production is blocked and hence the tumors are exposed to attack.
Aspirin as well as any other member of the Cox inhibitor drug family can give same result.
Researchers have tested aspirin on mice and slwoing down the growth of bowel and malignant skin cancer was found.
The study was led by Professor Caetano Reise Sousa and details of it are published in the Cell journal.
Prof Sousa said production barrier of any cancer cells can be achieved if it has the ability of making PGE2. If the cells are stopped producing further, the immune system of our body immediately gets back to kill mode and thereafter it starts attacking the tumor.http://www.dailynewsz.com/aspirin-helps-boosting-cancer-treatment-study/http://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Aspirin-Helps-Boosting-Cancer-Treatment-1.jpghttp://www.dailynewsz.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Aspirin-Helps-Boosting-Cancer-Treatment-1-300x300.jpgHealthAspirin,cancer,study
